Architectural Point Source Array Loudspeaker System
Acoustic Technologies ALA04 PSA is a specialist product from within the overall ALA (architectural line array) range of loudspeaker enclosures. The acronym “PSA” stands for Point Source Array – and this concisely describes the enclosure. The ALA04 PSA features an array of 4x 81mm LF/MF drivers + HF tweeter designed to provide the benefits of tight vertical control, while at the same time exhibiting a smooth point source dispersion pattern.
The physical layout of the drivers and the critical crossover design have produced a line array enclosure without the acoustic lobing artefacts in the vertical dispersion pattern commonly encountered in multi-speaker enclosures.
The ALA loudspeaker system components make use of many new production materials including weatherproof PPM cones, neodymium magnet assemblies, perforated aluminium mesh grille and an aluminum extruded chassis which minimizes weight and corrosion issues. The transducers are magnetically shielded.
Acoustic Technologies’ engineers developed a simple yet versatile mounting system to satisfy any situation. Rotatable “T” pieces on the rear of the enclosures allow vertical or horizontal installation. A selection of “extender plates” takes care of any required angles.
ALA04 PSA is perfectly suited for audio-visual installations involving large video screens. The full range audio reproduction, superb intelligibility, discrete appearance and smooth point source dispersion pattern make this the ideal loudspeaker enclosure for boardrooms and other high-end AV installations.
There are over 70 decor matched powdercoat colours, allowing the ALA Series to complement any decor styling.
